QR tracking since 2011

Accord Curtains Tracking Software (ACTS)

Every curtain barcoded and scanned at every take-down and re-hang, down to the room.

Nobody can say when it was cleaned

Ask a unit manager when the curtain in room 1217 was last cleaned and the honest answer is usually a guess. Accord Curtains points out that standard practice cleans cubicle curtains only when they are visibly soiled or after an isolation discharge, which leaves many hanging for months with no record at all.

A record is what Environmental Services and Infection Control need when someone asks. That is the gap the woven label closes.

One label, scanned every time

Every Accord curtain is barcoded with a QR code on a label sewn into the curtain. The label names the facility, the room and the size. Installers scan it at each take-down and again at each re-hang, and the scan records the date, the time, the employee and the location down to the room number.

Accord began QR tracking in 2011 after a customer asked for barcoding. The software on top of it, Accord Curtains Tracking Software, launched in 2015 with more than 40 customers, and it is cloud-based.

Reports down to the cubicle

Reports run in real time by building, department, floor, room and cubicle. A detailed report also goes out after each job, so your Environmental Services director sees the same list our installers do.

The last-cleaned date is visible at a glance, which is what the fifth step of the Accord process is for. Existing customers reach their records through the Customer Login on Accord's own site.

What one scan writes down

Four fields land in the record each time an installer passes the reader over the woven label.
