Our mission, as we print it
Formed 2008, 801 Busch Court
From James Drapery to Accord
Accord began as a single hospital's pickup and drop-off curtain run and kept the label on every curtain it touched.
In 2008, owner TL Vernonbought James Drapery & Blind Service from its founder, Tom James, who had run it for 27 years. Accord Curtains was formed by continuing a pickup and drop-off curtain cleaning service for The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Customers asked, and the service grew with the asks. One wanted curtains taken down, cleaned and re-hung floor by floor. Another wanted barcodes, so each curtain began carrying a QR code that holds its own history. That label is still the center of the work, and you can read how it is scanned on the tracking software page.
Accord and James Blinds are two business units split from the original business. James Blinds handles commercial window treatments, with professional installation, cleaning and repair parts for general contractors, property managers and commercial businesses. Accord is the one that works inside hospitals, nursing homes and ambulatory surgery centers.

“In our years of dealing with Accord Curtains we have found their service to be exemplary in every aspect of the operation. They are prompt when asked to provide outside of the norm requests and will find ways to make it happen at any cost.”
Bob Richardson, Manager Environmental Services, Riverside Methodist Hospital
Who we hang curtains for
Accord Curtains serves large 1,000+ bed hospitals and smaller rural hospitals, and nursing homes and ambulatory surgery centers, in Ohio, Florida, Indiana and North Carolina. Environmental Services and Infection Control teams are who we write to, because they are who decide when a curtain comes down.
